Rhapsody in Red Wins Best Classical CD

Halifax, NS - Halifax's Rhapsody Quintet was the winner of this year's Music Industry Association of Nova Scotia's (MIANS) Best Classical CD for their 2004 release, Rhapsody in Red. Recorded in Nova Scotia's historic provincial Legislature, Rhapsody in Red has had strong airplay on the CBC and has garnered rave reviews in Canada and the U.K.

The Quintet's violinist, Anne Rapson, thanked MIANS, recording engineer Chris Mitchell, music consultant Mark Warren and the staff of Province House for their assistance and work on the CD. Other Rhapsody members include Shimon Walt, cello; Diana Torbert, piano; John Rapson, clarinet and recent addition, Bass player David Langstroth.
